What A Class X Felony Involves
A Class X Felony is the most serious type of felony. A conviction for a Class X Felony has a mandatory minimum six-year prison sentence and a maximum prison sentence of 30 years. In Illinois, Class X Felony offenses are not eligible for probation. A conviction for a Class X Felony can additionally include a maximum fine of $25,000.
